  - James from WA, advises me the more solid and bulky lower control arms (which	look as if the would survive a nuclear blast) sometimes called force seven arms were introduced after the world cup rally when leyland looked at stress/weak points in the car highlighted by the rigors of the world cup event.

  - Does anyone know about these control arms?

  - Hello Mick,

  - You mention the beefy "Force 7" lower arms.

  - I have seen a few, and they may be stronger but they are fitted with thinner rubber bushes in the inner end, and these tend to wear out much faster than the early ones.

  - Hal Moloney will be able to tell you about the difference on his rally cars.

  - Regards,

  - Jilden
